When the season changes, I always feel get the itch to make some changes. Last week I completed a serious closet purge and this week I’m focusing my efforts on the other areas of the house! I love our home looks, but rearranging, restyling and adding a few new pieces can make a world difference—plus it’s fun!
I had a few areas that had gathered a bunch of clutter, so I finally sat down and went through it,—which felt great—and then started on the fun part!
Some new home accessories from Z Gallerie arrived a few weeks ago, and I’m thrilled to be a member of the Z List! Which means, each quarter I’ll be sharing the newest decor trends with you and showing you how to style them in your own fashionable home—see more of my top picks from fall here! The program highlights influencers and bloggers who embody the fashion forward style of Z Gallerie by showing you how we style them in our own individual spaces.
Whenever I get new pieces, it’s always a fun challenge to mix them in with our existing pieces. I started in our bedroom because I’d actually been trying to figure out what to do with all the books we had laying around. My favorite of the new pieces are these glass Carlo bookends! They’re cool, edgy and look lightweight sitting on the bedroom dresser. I love geometric and architectural accents because they add a little structure and modernity to a cozy and eclectic space. I stored a few of my favorite books and coffee table books there for easy grabbing when I want to look through one. Side note, the Flea Market Style is one of my favorite design books!
Next, I moved into the other room of the house. Our apartment has an open floorpan, so the kitchen/dining/living room are all one. We have a console table by the dining table that I’m always restyling. I added this new giraffe to the mix to give some height to the table, as well as a new plant, which gets great light here. I keep plants there because it gets great sunlight too.
These fun marble LED candles look amazing in our living room, and I love that they’re battery-powered. Lastly, the dining room! I got these gold Aura Geode napkin rings and used the Arabella decanter as a vase instead, ha! I love the simple gold stripe through it which matches the napkin rings perfectly! I can’t wait to host a dinner party this fall. I only wish that our dining table was a little bit bigger so we could fit more than one couple.
Fall hasn’t even hit yet, but I’m excited about it’s arrival now that our little home is looking fresh. It’s amazing what a few new pieces, de-cluttering and some rearranging can do for your space!
