Please see below for additional disclosure. A few weeks ago we went to Austin to celebrate two of our good friends’ wedding! I was so excited to have a weekend of sunshine and warm weather, but as the weekend approached, the forecast looked worse. Instead of sunny skies, we got rain—a whole lot of it! Other than our first night there, it rained the entire weekend. Despite the rain, we still had a really great time during our short trip. Even though it was a quick trip, I knew it was going to be a busy one. As soon as we landed we were on our way to get Tex-Mex and margaritas before meeting up with our friends to get drinks and go dancing. The next morning we were up early, well, early considering how late we went to bed the previous night. We grabbed lunch at Elizabeth Street Cafe with friends and then ran back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding. We danced like crazy at the wedding and on our way home, picked up a slice of late night pizza before taking a quick nap and waking up for our 8am flight the next morning. Phew, I’m exhausted just remembering it! Honestly, I was expecting my body to react poorly and completely hate me after all the activities that happened in those few short hours, but strangely enough, it didn’t. I always get a little stressed when I travel, but did you know that’s totally normal? Even if you’re headed out for a relaxing beach vacation, the drive to the airport, security, flight and transport to your hotel can be stressful, especially if you’re a nervous flier. Even if you’re not a nervous flier and airports make you cool as a cucumber, a new environment, different foods and even the air can put a slight strain on your body—even if you don’t really feel it. My biggest secret for keeping my digestive system balanced during travel (and everyday) is adding Align to my morning routine. For someone like me who is easily affected by change, taking a probiotic is a huge help. It keeps me feeling amazing by helping promote and support a healthy digestive system*, even after I throw unexpected things—like late night pizza, spicy Vietnamese food and nachos—its way. While Align is not a new addition to my routine (I’ve used it since I graduated college), it’s one that I trust and highly recommend! It’s great for any of you who resonated with my posts about my health and wellness journey! If you want to try it, use this coupon to save a bit!
