For whatever reason, when I was engaged and getting married, I never shopped ahead of time to find really pretty white dresses. I regret that I didn’t jump on the excuse to wear white dresses to every party because I most definitely can’t wear white to someone else’s engagement party or rehearsal dinner!
WHITE DRESSES UNDER $150
Now that I have a few friends and sisters getting married, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for gorgeous white dresses that won’t break the bank. My sister already picked up the one I’m wearing and this one!
This dress was actually a bit of an impulse buy, but the price was too good to pass up, plus ShopBop has free shipping and returns, so if I didn’t like it, it was no skin off my back. But, I did like it! In fact, I love it. The fun pom pom and fringe details make this dress so unique! It’s stretchy, comfortable, a great length and not see through! Winning on all levels.
I wore this dress during our trip to Los Angeles. I love that it can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels like this pair of scalloped wedges (also come in nude and a smaller heel) or dressed down for a more casual look with a pair of sandals or espadrilles. For walking around during the day, I wore these espadrilles and these heels for our night out!
We had been up early that morning because of the time change so we got lucky and wandered the Arts District before anyone else was up. We popped into the adorable Zinc Cafe for a coffee and to just sit and relax on their covered patio. The weather was sooooo amazing. It got me extra excited for spring in Chicago!
Once it finally warms up enough, I know I’ll be wearing this dress for both dressy events and casual work days. In the meantime, I think a jacket like this one would be the perfect way to transition this dress from winter to spring.
What are you excited to wear this spring and summer? Did you/would you wear white to all your wedding events?
