Can you believe Valentine’s Day is in just 14 days! Me neither, this year is already flying by, don’t you think? Even thought Rob and I typically stay home for Valentine’s Day, I still like to think about what I’d wear if we actually left the house. With all the winter gloom, Valentine’s Day is like a shiny beacon of hope! A day dedicated to celebrating love in the midst of a dreary Chicago winter always feels refreshing. And it’s the perfect excuse to start getting my closet prepped for spring and warmer months.
I won’t lie, I’ve found myself browsing spring clothes at least twice a day for the past week. If it won’t warm up here, I’m just going to dream about it! I found some really good stuff too, so I created three fun Valentine’s Day looks for three very different styles. Honestly, I’d wear any of them in a heartbeat!
First off, this dress is only $88, so whether you want to go bold for Valentine’s Day or not, it’s worth buying for your next beach trip or for spring—the back tie is soooo cute! I have to admit this look would also look pretty good at any resort…if only I was going! I can attest to these shoes—they’re amazing and also come in a few more colors if red is too bold for you. I’m also completely obsessed with these green tassel earrings (more colors here). They’re subtle enough with this bold look, but add a fun detail.
In my opinion, nothing really says lady-like and feminine like blush pink. What do you think? The sweet and simple ruffled details and collar make this dress perfect for a girly Valentine’s Day look. Also, you could wear this dress to any spring or summer weddings or even dress it down with a pair of sneakers like these. I added a few more girly dresses below and a few that aren’t pink!
At the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with a classic black dress. This gorgeous lacy one also has bows, and again, this one would be perfect for weddings year round. Other classic Valentine’s colors? White and red! They’re simple, but always so stunning. Even if you have a simple dress, you can make it totally unique with your shoes and accessories. For this look, I paired some pretty floral earrings that match perfectly with this look.
Which one of these Valentine’s Day looks is your style? What’s your favorite V-Day outfit you’ve worn in the past?
