A few weeks ago I asked you guys what you wanted to see in terms of style posts this fall and one area you guys requested was casual work wear! Almost everyone said they’re office or workplace was pretty casual, jeans even, so I put together two outfits that work for a casual environment and easily translate to life outside of work!

Lately, okay, since having a kid, I’m finding that I gravitate towards more versatile pieces instead of trying to find cool unique pieces. Not that there’s anything wrong with a bold statement piece, but I get so much more use out of the pieces that go with everything!

When it comes to work wear, Ann Taylor is my go-to. If you work in a more formal work setting, they have beautiful suiting and tops that have more personality than your simple white buttoned shirt. In my mind, the biggest perk of their collection has always been the versatility. Each of these outfits are conservative enough for work, but well-fitting to make you feel comfortable and confident. And, you can easily swap out a pair of strappy heels, like these, and meet your girlfriends for drinks or your guy for a date.

For the first look…

I put together a simple white tank that has pretty scallop detail on the neck and arm, denim jeggings which are stretchy and so comfortable, aka, perfect for mom life too! I’m always cold, so a cardigan was necessary and as soon as I saw the leopard, I knew I had to have it! I’ve always been a big fan of leopard and love the personality it adds to a classic work look. Lastly, these bow slides—oh my goodness guys, they are SO incredibly comfortable! I have a high arch and narrower feet, so sometimes slides don’t stay on my feet well, but these come up high enough to stay on and are so chic. They come in a few more colors like scarlet and tweed.

For my second look…

I snagged these jeans in a pretty burgundy color. This is my favorite color to wear in fall—it adds a pop of color without being overwhelming. I paired it with a classic sleeveless camp shirt (the sleeved version is here) and this pretty checked coat! This length of coat is perfect for fall and the beginning of winter before it gets too cold. Again, I wore these slides because they’re just that good!

Lastly, I want to leave you guys with a big productivity tip that’s been making a huge difference for me lately. It keeps me less stressed and allows me to focus on what I actually need to do? Any guesses?!

Tidying up!

It’s actually not directly tied to work and productivity, but more than anything, keeping our house clean has been the biggest help for me. When my space is clean and organized, so is my mind. Instead of thinking about the messes all around the house, I can focus on the work that needs to get done. After visiting my sister, I realized just how important this little tip is! Her suggestion for easily keeping things tidy, is to put everything back where it goes. Duh, right?! But, when I keep that tip in mind, the whole place stays neat and orderly and everyone (especially me) benefits!

What is your office’s dress code? What’s your favorite thing to wear to work? And, do you have any game-changing productivity tips to share?! Please do!
