This one is called Key West, and right now, she’s my favorite. I love the soft yet vibrant colors and the sketchy details layered into the whole piece. I’ll be a tad bit jealous of the lucky person who takes her home!

This piece is called Dark and Stormy. It reminds me that cool time when a rain storm is ending and the sun starts poking through. This baby is 36″x48″ and would add quite the pop to any room!

Meet The Safest Place. The colors in this one remind me so much of home, which truly is the safest place. He’s sold already.

P.S. Is it weird that I’m giving the paintings genders?! Probably…

And this little cutie is called Cloud Burst! It’s a wee 10″ x 10″ and would be perfect on a gallery wall! Oh and there will be many more minis coming soon!

Happy Friday! I’m beyond excited to say that my wee-little art shop housing my paintings will be launching next week! I can’t thank you enough for all the sweet and kind words both on Instagram and here on the blog. I’m not only excited to share what I’ve been working on with you, but excited to have found a hobby that brings me so much joy!

Remember when I told you about Cheney Beshara just a few short weeks ago? Well, I placed my order shortly after that post and Oliver’s gorgeous portrait is already hanging on my wall! I actually received it last week, but in the midst of finishing projects, cleaning hairballs off my couch and trying to get enough sleep, it wasn’t hung until now.

I went ahead and hung him in my office on my small, but growing, gallery wall. I’m thinking in my next place I’ll plan out my gallery wall in my office a little better. Right now everything’s a little disheveled, but then again, I kinda like the unbalanced look. For me, having a gallery wall with a bunch of mixed mediums, pieces and frames is what makes it so special and unique. Oliver might steal the show a little bit, but I’m okay with that!

The portrait looks just like him and came at a perfect time, considering the little puff is turning one in just a few short days! I’m so impressed with Cheney’s work and can’t wait to show off my new art!

I think it goes without saying that I’m in love with it. It’s such a fun piece and adds such a special touch to my walls. Although, Oliver’s first reaction was to growl at his portrait, he’s come to love it just as much as me!

If you’re anything like me, your furry friend holds a very special place in your heart. And what captures that sweet face better than a camera? A beautiful hand-painted pet portrait by Cheney Beshara!

My sweet and very talented friend, Cheney, started painting these portraits not too long ago and already has people knocking on her door, or rather filling her inbox, with requests to paint their gorgeous pups! She quit her day job to pursue her passion for animals and art and is now a full-time artist working from her home studio in San Francisco.

Cheney’s always been artisit and creative, but her puppy, Wendell (the cutest little weiner dog), inspired her to start painting dogs and other pets and now it’s a full-time gig! Sidenote, the puppy was not only the inspiration for pet portraits, but he was also a big part of her marriage proposal!

All of her work is hand-drawn, then painted on stretched canvas and ready to hang when it arrives at your door! I’ve already commissioned Cheney to paint one of Oliver, and I’m also thinking of how wonderful these would be for birthday or Christmas presents (she’s already taking holiday orders, so get in line)!
