If you weren’t already aware, it’s OCTOBER. I’m seriously in shock how fast the months are flying by lately and it’s crazy to think that the holidays are just around the corner. While we won’t be celebrating them just yet, it’s time to start thinking about your holiday content and strategy for your blog.
Oh, you also might have noticed that this went live on Saturday instead of Wednesday. Why? I had two posts going live on Wednesdays and I heard that a lot of people were missing the updates to this category, so I decided to move it to a day that didn’t already have a post going up. So, I’m going to try this for a while!
I’ll admit that I’ve been pretty bad about this in the past. I always think about it early on, but don’t actually do anything about it and then regret it. This year, I decided to plan early and formulate a strategy that I hope will maximize my earnings and is allowing me to be creative in a really different and unique way. I’ll also admit that so far, it’s been a time intensive project and I can’t wait to see what you guys think about it!
As I’m sure you know, Q4 is on of the biggest times of the year for retail sales and an incredible opportunity to make commissions and also come up with exciting holiday content that drives readers to your site!
Gift guides, holiday recipes, holiday decor and holiday outfits are all great ways to incorporate highly pinnable and engaging content for this next time of year. Remember that people start looking and shopping early, so getting some of this stuff up in late October and early November is key if you want to take advantage of this time of year! That’s my plan! And here are a few other tips to help maximize your earnings!

2. Link to the homepage of retail websites that convert well.
3. Give people enough time to shop, order and have their items delivered.
4. Don’t stop at gift guides, your readers will likely also be interested in decor, holiday recipes, etc.
Think outside the box and be creative! The holidays are a huge time to score commissions for your blog, so take some time to form a strategy that will allow your blog to be relevant to the season and engaging!
