BEFORE – SO MESSY!
AFTER – SO ORGANIZED!
At the beginning of spring every year, I find myself itching to clean house and get rid of excess junk. A few weeks ago I decided to tackle my side of the closet and was so happy to get rid of the things I no longer wear.
Last week with the help of TaskRabbit, I finally tackled a few other areas of the house that I’d been putting off. Surprisingly, Rob doesn’t like clearing clutter as much as I do. Okay, maybe not that surprising, ha! But doing it all by myself seemed so daunting, so I just kept putting it off.
In just an hour, we were able to go through our entire TV console, another box of junk and all of the drawers in our front bathroom. One giant bag of trash and three bags of donations later I was feeling lighter and so much less stressed. It was such a great feeling that it sparked me to tidy up other areas of the house even after Ariel had left. If you’re in Chicago, I highly recommend her! She’s not only great at helping out, but really kind, sweet and easy to be around!
Since I work from home, it’s especially important for me to keep clutter to a minimum. It causes me so much stress to see it all laying around the house and I’m so thankful that it’s gone!
It was amazing how quickly we went through all of the trouble spots! It allowed to get all of my work done that day and gave me more time to spend with my family at night. If you’re worried about letting a stranger into your home, I understand, but all taskers are carefully screened and all tasks are fully insured so you can feel confident about having them come into your home and help you out. That kind of peace of mind is so important to me!
I had such a great experience that I’m thinking of doing it again and tackling our bathroom and maybe Rob’s side of the closet, if he’ll allow it! TaskRabbit is graciously giving my readers $20 off same-day tasks with code FOX so you can get a jump start on your own spring cleaning!
Have you used TaskRabbit before? Do you enjoy the lasting effects spring cleaning as much as I do?
