Mockneck Sweater, wearing a small | Double Breasted Blazer, I’m wearing a small—it’s longer than a typical blazer and looks so chic! | Faux Suede Skirt, this runs a bit big, I’m wearing an XS here and normally wear a small, also comes in a pretty camel color | Lowland Boots (on sale in a few sizes!!), also here (they are a big investment, but they are incredible and so warm!) and more affordable here and here
This might look a little familiar if you saw my Insta Stories last week, but I wanted to share these again, as well as a few other ways to wear some of the pieces that I wore in those stories.
I’m all about getting as much use out of my pieces and I know you guys are too, so hopefully this gives you some more ideas how to style some of the pieces you already have in your closet, or helps you decide which items are worth investing in!
Cute Fall Outfits
The first piece is this sweater. It’s a simple mock neck sweater in a really pretty burgundy red color and it’s so soft! It actually comes in a few other colors, I love the yellowy gold too. It’s starting to get a little too chilly for skirts, but I loved this look! It made me feel so much more stylish than I normally am, ha! The over the knee boots (there are a few sizes left that are ON MAJOR SALE!) with the blazer and all red underneath looked so cool!
I would totally wear this out for a date night or girls night, or even for meetings. It definitely makes me look more professional!
Mockneck Sweater, wearing a small | Windowpane Cardigan Coat, wearing a small | Distressed Hem Jeans, I LOVE these! I’m wearing my normal size and love that they’re not super skinny, but still tailored | old Rag & Bone Newbury Boots, similar here and here
I wore the same sweater again last week with this long cardigan coat that I’m in love with. It’s not super bulky, but also not super thin and is pretty warm. I love that the red in the sweater pulled out the red in my cardigan.
I had errands to run, so comfort was key that day, but I still like looking pulled together and this fit the bill. I swapped out my heeled boots for flat ones later when I got home and took Owen and Oliver out for a walk and that looked really cute too, wish I had snapped a pic!
Plaid Flannel Shirt, fits boxy, oversized and isn’t very long, I’m wearing a small | Tissue Turtleneck, these are great layering pieces, so lightweight and comfy | Button-Fly Raw Hem Jeans, obsessed with these, runs TTS | Newbury Boots, these are an investment, but are easily my most worn booties—comfortable, classic, runs a little small, order a 1/2 size up
This plaid flannel top is so soft! It’s boxier and more oversized than I was expecting, but still looks cute on it’s own (see the outfit below). But, I really love how it looks layered over a turtleneck. It’s been cold lately and this is such a cute, non-bulky way to wear extra layers!
Despite it fitting bigger than a typical button-down, it still looks cute on it’s own! I love it with black jeans too because I feel like it looks a little bit nicer. Or, more edgy!
These overalls are new too! I have a black pair that I love and wore 4 different ways in this post, but I really wanted a denim pair. These are definitely more casual than my black pair and I love wearing them with these sneakers—perfect for going to the park or running errands with Owen. This sweater is so cozy too. It’s thin, but cashmere so it’s super soft! I love the stripes and the color.
My overalls post got so much love, so I figured why not throw two more outfits in here. This is super simple, but dresses up the overalls a bit by swapping out sneakers for loafers! If you have a casual office, I think you could totally pull this off!
This outfit (and the next one) are basically my fall and winter uniforms. Jeans and a cozy sweater. It’s the easiest outfit to pull together and during the winter months, you just can’t go wrong with it. I love to show a little ankle, and love that these jeans are cropped just a bit. I’m 5’8″ so they might be a little longer or shorter on your depending on your height.
I own so many cream and camel sweaters, so it makes sense that I loved this one that’s cream with camel cuffs! It’s super soft, I’m wearing a small here and it’s also cashmere!
Lastly, one more way to wear this sweater! To dress it up for a girl’s night or meeting, I love how it looks with an edgy faux leather jacket and all black everything else!
Phew, I’m tired now, haha! I hope you’re having a great start to your week! I’m trying to get ahead on everything because Owen turns ONE tomorrow and his little birthday party is this weekend! I still can’t believe it!
