What kind of camera do you use?
I used to have a Canon T1i with a 50mm 1.4 lens, but recently upgraded to a Canon 60D and couldn’t be happier about my decision. It’s amazing! I also have a 20mm lens that’s a wide angle. To be honest, I don’t use the wide angle one near as often as I thought, but it is great for shooting interiors!
Who takes your photos?
For the most part, most of my photos are shot by either my husband, Rob, or other blogger friends!
Are you a full-time blogger?
No, but my day job at Leap Blog Design keeps me very involved with the blogging community. I design and develop blogs on the WordPress platform for fashion and lifestyle bloggers around the world.
But I do think it could be pretty great to be a full-time blogger later in life when I have other priorities (possibly babies?!).
What size do you wear in clothing and shoes?
I usually wear a small on top and 25 or 0-2 on the bottom. As for shoes, a good ole 8.5!
How did you learn how to design and develop blogs?
Surprisingly enough, I’m mostly self-taught. I did take several design classes in school that taught me basic design principles and sharpened my eye. I also minored in studio art, so design and creation have always been very important to me. I also love to code and learning new tricks. What can I say? I’m a girl geek.
I love your work, but I can’t afford a custom design right now, any suggestions?
Yes! I have a line of pre-fab WordPress themes on The Fox Shop — check them out here!
What program do you use for collages?
I use Illustrator for laying out the collages and Photoshop for clipping away any unwanted backgrounds. I love Illustrator and to me, it’s a lot easier than Photoshop.
What breed of dog is Oliver?
Oliver is a Shiba Inu, a Japanese breed that is known for being independent, spirited, bold and mischievous. While I think he’s the most adorable little foxy beast on earth, they’re not easy to train, aren’t good off leash and aren’t big on cuddling. On the flip side he’s great with people, easy to house break, loves belly rubs, treats and playing with other dogs!
