Gift Ideas for Guys & Girls

It’s about this time every year when I start getting serious about my holiday shopping. I know, I know, it might seem a little bit early, but I don’t like stressing about it. Can you blame me? As much fun as the holidays are, they can be exhausting and stressful, so if I can start early and make the process easier, you best believe I’m doing it!

I get that not everyone loves to spend their time thinking about the perfect gift or wants to browse endless shops, so I’ve rounded up my top picks for him and her in today’s post! Hopefully this list will get your wheels turning and hopefully you can get started on some of your shopping so the holidays can be super relaxing!

I absolutely love holiday shopping. Coming across a gift that I know that person is going to love is the best thing ever! To start, I write down a list of everyone I need to shop for. To avoid overspending, I don’t do gifts with friends, just cards and stick to only doing gifts for our immediate family. Not only does this cut down on my spending, but let’s be real, it can be really tough to shop for that aunt or uncle that you don’t really know very well, and spending money on something you’re not even sure they’ll like is frustrating. Thankfully, our family instituted this ‘immediate family only’ rule a few years ago and it’s made the holidays so much more enjoyable.

Next, I’ll ask my family members if there’s anything they need or want.

At the end of the day, getting them something they already want makes your job easier. And its guaranteed to make them happier. But, at the same time, I really pride myself on finding gifts I know they’ll love, and my sisters trust me. So, when they say they need clothes or accessories or skincare, that’s the only direction I need! I’m also tempted to gift them bras this year. I’ve become obsessed with the ones I got from ThirdLove—especially this wireless bra and I think they would appreciate them as well! They would also love this cute PJ set, and these would be perfect stocking stuffers!

A few other things that are always on my list?

A new coat—this one is on my list and, confession, I already bought this one for myself! Shoes or boots because shoes are probably my favorite! Comfort is key for me right now and I love these sneakers! Jeans are also on my list this year after not being able to wear my regular ones for so long. I love the hem on this pair. Lastly, sweaters! I live in sweaters all winter long and this cozy, cashmere sweatshirt has my name on it!

For Him

1. Moc Toe Boot | 2. Better Sweater Quarter Zip, more colors here | 3. Wireless Speakers, lots of colors | 4. Brick Check Shirt | 5. Crewneck Sweater | 6. Plaid Flannel Shirt | 7. Striped Smartphone Gloves | 8. Stitchlite Wingtip (Rob loves his!) | 9. Jack Pack Set | 10. Razor Shave Set | 11. Cashmere Scarf | 12. Quilted Car Coat | 13. Shawl Collar Pullover | 14. Weekender Duffle Bag | 15. Suede Chelsea Boots | 16. Colorblock Jacket | 17. Pour Over Kettle (perfect for coffee lovers) | 18. Slim-Fit Stretch Chambray Pants | 19. Check Sport Shirt | 20. Crosley Record Player

Now for the guys! Why are they so hard to shop for?! Every year I take a look at Rob’s closet to see if there’s anything he needs. He can always use a new shirt and loves the plaid or check ones I get him. He also lives in his Better Sweater pullover during winter. It’s a great layering piece and looks nicer than your typical sweatshirt. He bought these shoes for work earlier this year and absolutely loves them. They feel like sneakers, but look like work shoes! Lastly, Rob loves making coffee with his Chemex and last year I got him a special little kettle designed for pour over coffee and he uses it every weekend.
