With the holidays just around the corner, plenty of us will either be traveling to stay with family or friends or expecting guests in our own home. It can be intimidating to host people in your own home, but making your guest room comfortable and cozy is the easiest way to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable visit for everyone! Thankfully, turning your guest room into a mini oasis for your guests is pretty easy! I’ve partnered with World Market to share some simple tips for making your house guests feel at home over the holidays!

Fresh & Bright Bathroom Linens

A stack of clean, fresh towels seems like an obvious, but stacking them nicely on the corner of the bed or hanging them by the shower, invites your guests to make themselves at home like they would at their own home. I also grabbed this adorable tasseled shower curtain and long bath mat to soften the bathroom and make it feel more homey.

Comforting Scents

Light a candle before your guests arrive and have a few candles and matches in the room so they can light them as they please. A vase full of fresh flowers never hurt either! A few of my favorite scents from World Market are this Sauvignon Blanc candle that comes in a cute cut wine bottle and this gardenia-scented candle.

A Collection of Spa-Like Bath Accessories

While it’s easy to just leave extra bottles of shampoo, hand wash and lotion in the bathroom, but handpicking items with amazing scents and beautiful packages will make your guests feel extra special. I’m in love with the smell of this lavender rosemary lotion and hand wash. I added some bath salts and a loofah to encourage my guests to kick-back and relax! I also like to leave a toothbrush and small toothpaste because I’m notorious for forgetting mine.

Make Them Feel at Home

Whenever I’m at someone else’s house I always feel weird about helping myself in the kitchen, so I left a little note by the bed under a monogrammed-mug inviting guests to help themselves to coffee and tea. Again, little things like this will make them feel much more at ease and make the visit a lovely one!

I love shopping at World Market for things like this to freshen up a room. The price point is perfect and they have a huge selection of amazing products! Do you have guests coming in this holiday season? How do you make them feel at home?
