Birthday Date

Two weekends back was Rob’s birthday. Rob is not big on birthdays, so we typically do something pretty low-key with just the two of us. Which I happen to really love!

Even though he doesn’t love celebrating, I managed to make a weekend of it with brunch at Toast, the birthday dinner at Piccolo Sogno Due and then a homemade brunch on Sunday morning.

For the main event, dinner, I wore this new faux-leather skirt, dotted shirt and my plaid coat that’s already had another appearance on the blog. I’ll admit I definitely wasn’t warm enough (though my Hanes tights kept me that much warmer), but I’m so tired of the cold weather, that I just sucked it up and wore something that made me feel a little more sassy that I’ve been feeling lately.

I was thrilled to come across this well-priced skirt after a long search for the perfect one. I had my eye on this one and this one before trying this one and falling in love. I’m looking forward to wearing it sans tights in hopefully a few short months!
