Seriously, So Thankful It’s Friday

I have to admit, this week was not a good one for me. As I mentioned on Wednesday, my to-do list is insanely long. On top of that I had to get 3 cavities filled, found out that I’m actually going to be moving two months earlier than planned, found out that my insurance plan was accidentally cancelled…by the company – conveniently on a week where I had two doctor appointments. I’ve over-booked myself a bit and have a lot more work than normal to finish in a very short time.

All I really want to do this weekend is cozy up, sleep a lot and get ahead on some stuff, but it’s St. Patty’s day, so let’s be real. None of that will happen.

In the midst of my rough week, I gave into my craving and bought this rug. It’s been a favorite of mine for over a year and is finally in stock and 25% off with Lulu & Georgia‘s FRIENDS&FAM discount code! I’m looking forward to putting in our new place. I just need to decide on where to put it!

Nashville in Floral

I spent the past weekend in Nashville for my friend Paige’s beautiful wedding! The weather was perfect, the wedding was so gorgeous and so reflective of her taste! But I have to tell you guys, I’m struggling this week. I’m exhausted from two past weekends away, stressed with work that I’ve let pile up because of said trips and I’m realizing more and more that I really need to learn when to say no when I already have so much on my plate.

It seems like just when I think I’ve found a good balance and I’m getting caught up, I slide backward and more things magically appear. I wrote a to-do list last night that included over 50 items. Ugh, kind of depressing to look at. While some of them don’t need to be done right now, plenty of them still do. So I’m trying to remind myself to just take one day at a time — I know it’ll eventually whittle down.

I think I’m still going to blame this winter on my being slightly off. It’s amazing what a few days in the sun can do for you though. And even though it was a quick trip, I’m very thankful for those gorgeous sunny days in Nashville wearing this awesome floral blazer (I’m seriously obsessed, already worn it multiple times!) and strolling the streets with good girlfriends. We spent Saturday at the Frothy Monkey and shopped around 12th street(?). I picked up a new collar and leash for Oliver and some sunglasses for me! This trip also got me super excited for our trip to wine country coming up next month.

And speaking of sunshine, we got some Monday and will get more on Friday, but today we’re getting more snow. So over it.

P.S. I’m now realizing that this post is a scattered mess of my thoughts, so I hope you don’t think I’m getting too loopy from my juice cleanse!

It’s Monday! And maybe you have today off (hopefully)! Holidays like President’s Day are always a little funny when you work from home, but Rob also has today off, so while I plan on getting a few things done, I’ll be spending some time with him too.

Last night I stayed in, ordered pizza and took way too many really cute pictures of Oliver. So enjoy your hopefully day off today and if you are at work, maybe this cuteness will distract you for a bit and bring a smile to your face!
