It’s pretty wild to think that Thanksgiving is already behind us! Speaking of that, how was your Thanksgiving? If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that we spent our holiday in Italy. It was definitely an untraditional Thanksgiving, but it was a great one!
We started with a few days in Istanbul to get our trip kicked off and then a week ago, we flew to Rome and then drove to hours to the charming little town of Citta del a Pieve. For the next few days we drove to multiple small Tuscan towns and toured, drank wine and ate incredible food! It’s amazing I didn’t come back 10 lbs. heavier.
One of my favorite days was Thanksgiving. We drove to the walled city of Siena for a cooking class! No, it wasn’t a turkey and stuffing, but it was just as delicious. We made this yummy soup called papa con pomodoro, homemade pic (thick spaghetti-looking pasta) with a meat sauce and then roast pork loin with some of the tastiest potatoes I’d ever tried. For dessert, we made homemade biscotti — it’s actually pretty easy, who knew!
We flew back yesterday and it was a long day. I’m still jet-lagged, but happy to be home too!
