Towards the end of our trip to London, we decided it would be good to get away to the countryside for a day. Too many days of walking and exploring for hours on end had left us pretty wiped out, so the idea of slowing down for at least a few hours sounded amazing!
Oxford is just a quick 45-minute train ride from London’s Paddington station and runs several times throughout the day. Make sure you get on the train quickly so you get a spot — it filled up so fast!
For the most part, we didn’t really do much in Oxford other than pretend we were locals. We laid around in Oxford Parks for a bit and soaked up the sun and then walked to Gee’s for lunch. It’s inside an old green house and is pretty freaking adorable. The food was also amazing and we sat out on the patio and enjoyed a very long and delicious lunch. Prosecco too! Both of the dishes we had that day were fabulous and easy and I’m dying to recreate them at home and share with you — stay tuned!
