It’s All in the Details

decorative objects, interior design, decor ideas, decorate your house, blair staky, the fox and she

I mentioned last week that we found a new place and will be moving in just a few short weeks. I’m still in shock that it all happened so fast, but I’m also really excited! We have a house full of furniture we like, so we won’t be getting and new big pieces, but adding new little details is such an easy way to make a room (or in this case, a whole apartment) feel totally fresh and new!

When it comes to decorating and redecorating, I always go to Furbish, West Elm, Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters for special, unique decorative objects that will make a statement without requiring a full redesign. Some of the easiest updates are rearranging shelves or updating pillowcases as seasons change! I’m in love with this pillow and this tray. I’m continuously trying to grow my collection of coffee table books and this would be the perfect way to display them. I also love stacking books and topping them with a cool decorative object like this glass knot or these sculptural spheres! I’m also a sucker for a cool light fixture and would love a chandelier like this someday!

What’s your favorite way to give your home a seasonal update?
