Thanksgiving Dinner: Dressed Up
Last week I shared a casual Thanksgiving look with you guys and today I’m sharing a more dressed up look. This is by no means super formal, but we’re not super formal people, so falls under the fancy category for Thanksgiving at our house!
Every weekend we head to our school’s bar in Chicago to watch the game. Conveniently, it’s located right next to Anthropologie! So when half time hits or we get bored (I’m really not much of a football fan), it’s easy to pop over there and see what’s new. A few weeks back, I came across this jeweled brushstrokes shift dress and when I put it on, I fell in love. I’m obsessed with the neckline and love that I can wear it through fall and into winter with tights. Heck, I’ll probably wear it year-round!
For a crisp night out last week, I paired it with knee-high boots and a simple black blazer (not pictured). Even though I mentioned that our Thanksgiving is pretty casual, I think I might wear this dress anyway. It’s comfortable and definitely won’t restrict me from eating second helpings of my Thanksgiving favorite — stuffing! I’m especially excited for this year’s Thanksgiving because it’ll be Rob’s first year at our place! Do you have plans for the year’s biggest feast yet?
