Has anyone else sort of checked out this week? I am so far beyond ready for the holiday break I can’t even stand it. Thankfully I only have one more week of work before I get to check out, so today I’m looking back at our Thanksgiving break to hold me over until we leave for Dallas.
We spent about 5 days touring the Tuscan countryside and got to visit several different towns (many of them really small) while we were there. We stayed just outside the town of Chiusi in an even smaller hilltop town called Città della Pieve. It was such a cute small town and the house we stayed in (the images at the end) was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I thought a Tuscan villa would look like. There was a big pool in the back, so hopefully we’ll get to go back in the summertime someday!
Another one of my favorite towns was the walled-city of Siena. We spent Thanksgiving here at a cooking school! We made such a tasty Italian dinner and I’m actually hoping to recreate some of those dishes over the holidays — homemade pasta anyone?!
We also spent a day in beautiful Florence and drove to Montalcino and Assisi for wine tasting. Overall, the trip was really cool and super busy, so I’m looking forward to just relaxing over Christmas.
