I’ve come to realize that I pretty much live in plaid in the winter. I have numerous plaid shirts, even more plaid scarves and a plaid coat! There’s no question why I wear these so much though — they’re insanely comfortable! I can wear them both casually or dressed up and layer them to stay extra warm on snow days. Lately I’ve been falling for the plaid shirts with more untraditional color combinations, like this one with burgundy, pink and bright blue.
I wore this outfit last week while I was in Dallas helping my mom get prepped for Thanksgiving. It was just a tad chilly and perfect for a layered look. I layered this AEO plaid shirt over a cozy thermal tee and wore it with a basic pair of skinny jeans and my new favorite booties (still on sale!). I love the little buttons on this thermal shirt that make it more unique and cute. I threw on this cozy pom pom hat while we were out running errands instead of coat. It’s crazy how warm a good hat will keep you! This one will be getting a heck of a lot of use in Chicago! I’ll just need to make sure to keep it away from Oliver. He has a thing for pom poms.
