December 11, 2013 Decor Armitage Abode The first time I walked into Cerena & Greg’s quaint little apartment I fell in love. I secretly started hoping they’d move out just so I could move in. I love my place and the space it offers, but there’s just something about a smaller apartment that makes it so warm, inviting and cozy. Their place offers exactly that, along with bright living spaces thanks to being on the third floor and a large skylight in the living room. I first met Cerena when we started a Tuesday night supper club and I’m so glad I did! She’s so kind and sweet and her and her husband who I recently got to meet are the cutest. You can just tell their in love when you see them together and that makes me smile! They’ve been in this apartment for nearly three years and Cerena said their next step might include buying a place of their very own! I can only imagine how gorgeous and cozy it will be once she’s done with it. But before they leave I’ll keep swooning over their little Lincoln Park gem of a place! Some of my favorite features are the tall ceilings, fireplace and gorgeous mantle — what I would give for a working fireplace. Instead of nailing things into the wall, they’ve hung artwork, mirrors and framed photographs with wire from a (framing hook). Not only does it save old (and sometimes delicate) walls from being destroyed, but by criss-crossing the wires, they’ve created subtle patterns that add height and interest to the room. The Dumb & Dumber Poster is actually in the hallway up to their third floor apartment & in black and white I really love it! What do you think?
