Lately, weddings have been on my brain and not just because we were in Portland recently for a friend’s wedding. That was a blast by the way. The real reason is that we have two weddings in our family on the horizon. Both my sister and Rob’s sister recently got engaged!! I have to admit, it’s sort of weird seeing your baby sister get engaged, but I keep reminding myself she’s not my baby sister, just younger. And actually quite a bit taller than me.

I digress! I’m so excited for both of them to be settling down with amazing, kind and wonderful guys who love them and are so perfect for them and I can’t wait for both weddings that will be happening around this time next year.

I spotted this black lace dress on ASOS a few weeks back and knew I had to snag it. First off, the price was amazing and it looks like it costs so much more — always a win! I love the teensy bit of sheer between the top and bottom (tough to see in these pics, but you can see it here) that makes it a bit edgier than your average lace dress. How perfect would this be for engagement parties, showers or even as a wedding guest?!

I’m looking forward to getting dressed up for the wedding festivities for both of them and will be on the hunt for more unique and affordable pieces like this one!

ASOS always has a really great selection and really great prices which makes it my go-to source when I need to stock up on multiple party dresses at once (hello, bachelorette party)! If I’m investing in a nicer one, I typically go to Anthropologie or Nordstrom. They carry so many different brands and really unique pieces that you can’t find just anywhere. What’s your go to spot for dresses? And affordable dresses?!
