It’s the weekend and we love a good burger night 🍔 in our house! It’s one of Owen’s favorite nights, and I love it because honestly, it’s so easy. All I have to do is prep the ingredients and grill the patties. Okay, my husband is actually the one that does the grilling, which makes it even better.
While burgers definitely remind me of summertime, they’re great year round. You can easily get creative with your toppings and have totally different flavor profiles!
How We Do Burger Night in Our House
Instead of buying pre-shaped patties (they’re usually huge!), I make my own so we end up with 1/4 LB. burgers.
Season them heavily with salt & pepper and grill to your liking. We find that grilling on a lower temperature for longer gives you an evenly cooked burger. If you’re adding cheese, add it right at the end so it doesn’t melt off. Lastly, add buns to the grill so they get lightly toasted & warm — the best.
I always make a plate with all the fixings—lettuce, onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup, etc. and let everyone do their own.
Serve with a salad, grilled veggies, chips, or whatever you like! Such an easy and fun dinner for the whole fam ❤️ Here’s a video of how it’s done!
If you’re worried these are undercooked, I promise they’re not, the lighting was kinda funky, but cook to your own liking for perfect burgers!
