Guys, how on earth is it already August 21? Seriously. I feel like just yesterday I was saying the same thing about how it was already July. Summer, you’re moving too fast.

Since summer is flying by at record speed (I swear it’s faster each year), we’ve really been trying to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the city before it freezes. Rob and I had dinner last Saturday on the balcony of one of our favorite spots in Chicago, Le Colonial (a must-try in Chicago), and then leisurely walked home down Michigan Ave enjoying the weather and the city views. Our weekend days have been spent at the beach for regular games of Spikeball and watching last weekend’s Air & Water Show. Even Oliver is benefitting from the extra long walks I’ve been taking him on!

Lately, my breakfast of choice has been Chobani limited batch Plum or Watermelon Greek yogurt. These flavors are so different than your traditional strawberry or blueberry and are so delicious! Chobani, America’s favorite Greek yogurt brand actually launched 15 new product varieties this summer and all are worth trying!

Just like crop tops, fruit flavors are trending this summer. Chobani limited batch Plum and Watermelon yogurt is made with real fruit and natural ingredients like fresh milk from cows not treated with rBST, no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or flavors and celebrates the season by using some of the most popular fruits of the summer months. I like eating mine with a little granola on top — I’m a sucker for the crunch!

The unique summertime flavors are the perfect reminder that summer is still in full swing. It got me thinking about this summer’s trends — cut-outs, florals, brights, and yes, crop tops — and how I need to take advantage of those pieces in my closet before the weather turns.

Last week I donned this summery, floral romper inspired by those summertime flavors of Chobani limited batch yogurts and enjoyed the summer breeze on my legs and the freedom that comes with a pair of sandals. And in true summer fashion, we went exploring in West Loop after snapping these pictures!

What are you favorite summertime trends? How are you taking advantage of the last few weeks of summer?
