DIY Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

gingerhbread sugar scrub recipe

At the end of a long winter day, nothing sounds better than a hot shower to rinse the day away and help me relax. I suppose a bath would be pretty nice too, but I’ve never been much of a bath girl. I get easily distracted and bored, but I’m slowly learning to just chill. When you add in this magical DIY gingerbread sugar scrub, that shower or bath becomes even better!

Several years ago, someone gave me a very similar body scrub to this one that I’m showing you how to make in the video. Not only did it smell heavenly, but it left my skin feeling silky smooth and soft. I used it up so quickly and have been dying to create my own version ever since. Admittedly, it’s take me way too long to get around to making it, and now that it’s done I have no idea why I waited so long!

The whole process is super easy and you can find most of the ingredients for this sugar scrub recipe at your local grocery store or Whole Foods (not all groceries will carry good quality organic oils). I do suggest that you use the highest quality ingredients you can find since you’ll be slathering this all over your body. Look for products that are 100% organic and oils that are 100% pure. If you can’t find these oils at your grocery store, you can buy the almond oil and jojoba oil on Amazon too!

These also make for the perfect gifts for your friends and it won’t break the bank! I used these mini glass jars, these gift tags and this red and white butcher’s twine to wrap them.
