Strolling Through Atlanta
We spent the past weekend and the end of last week in Atlanta visiting my sister who recently moved there and celebrating a friend’s wedding. With a whole day and no plans, we made our way around different areas of town, wandering about and enjoying the sunshine. It was wonderful to get to wear a skirt again but also just chilly enough for a sweater — a perfect fall day in my mind! Our first stop was at Gregg Irby Fine Art. It’s a darling little gallery that features emerging artists, some of my favorites being Michelle Armas, Britt Bass and Eileen Power. If only we had more walls in this tiny apartment! We strolled through different neighborhoods, popping in shops and eventually made our way to SweetWater Brewing and then dinner at King + Duke (the farro was amazing and I’ll be attempting to recreate it at home) before calling it a day.
Our Friday was a nice break from the day before which consisted of me running around the city gathering goodies to decorate my sister’s apartment. I ended up getting her this beautiful vase, a jewelry box, this sculptural sphere and this mini terrarium (obsessed), a big white tray and a pumpkin scented candle among other items! I had a blast putting it all together and she loved the finished product!
P.S. Be sure to stop by tomorrow as I’ll be doing the first of four posts highlighting my favorite moments and images from our wedding!
