How to make a healthy, green detox smoothie at home. It's packed with leafy greens, veggies, frozen fruit and is absolutely delicious!

Green Detox Smoothie Recipe

A few months ago, I shared my gut-healing green smoothie with you guys. This one is one of my all-time favorites, and definitely Rob’s favorite. It’s hearty too, so if you’re in need of a quick easy breakfast, definitely give it a go!

I like to switch it up though, and sometimes my body is just craving something lighter. I love this green detox smoothie combination because it has fruits, spinach, veggies and still tastes delicious! Typically my go-to fruits are mango and pineapple. The pineapple adds such a nice punch of flavor, which is great if you’re worried about tasting the veggies.

You can also switch up the fruits if you want to suit your taste or to use up whatever you have on hand.

Owen also loves this one! Probably because he loves mango and pineapple, but it’s a great way to sneak in some veggies and extra fiber for your little ones.

I always add a scoop or two of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, Bulletproof Innerfuel Prebiotic Fiber (this feeds your probiotic and makes it work better), chia seeds and flaxseed. These are not necessary, but it’s a great way to get in some additional fiber, collagen protein and healthy fats!

The recipe below is for one, but feel free to double or triple it for more people!

Green Detox Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 1-2 stalks of celery
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup mango and pineapple combination (or sub other fruit)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds, optional
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed, optional
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, optional
  • 1 scoop Innerfuel Prebiotic Fiber, optional
  • unsweetened coconut water, or filtered water
  • Ice if you want it thicker
Directions
  1. Put all ingredients in the blender (spinach first to help it blend completely!).
  2. Add liquid—I start with about 1/2 cup of liquid and add more as necessary.
  3. Use a tamper if necessary to push ice and frozen fruit down to the blades and blend until smooth. Serve immediately!

My go-to blender is my Vitamix. Yes, it’s an investment, but I make smoothies every day and it has been 100% worth the cost! I also like to think of it as an investment in my health.

BTW, 3 quick and healthy recipes you can make in your Vitamix, and 6 benefits of collagen peptides.
