A few weeks ago, I made reservations at one of our favorite restaurants in the city, Tanta, for a date night at 37 weeks. The last few weeks I started thinking that our weekly date night tradition might get put on hold for a few months. I wanted to make sure we got in a few more before the baby arrived.
When we lived downtown, we went to Tanta several times a month because it was so close. However it’d been months since we’d been. Since we have so many good memories from dining there, we figured it was a good spot! The food is incredible, and if you haven’t been, I highly recommend you go soon! It didn’t hit me until a few days later, but I got a bit choked up thinking that it might have been our very last night date night as a family of two.
While I cannot wait to meet our son (and hopefully he’s already been born—in full disclosure, I wrote this a few weeks ago while I knew I had time!) and see how life changes, it’s hard to not think back to how many amazing things we’ve done together and how many special memories we have as a couple. Our weekends and travel plans will definitely look different from here on out, and excited for this next stage of life—even though we both feel pretty clueless!
The weekend we went to dinner, fall weather had finally made it’s appearance! For a while I was starting to wonder if fall was coming at all since October was so warm! Not that I’m complaining that much, the longer we can hold off on winter, the better! Anyway, the temperatures finally did start to dip so I pulled out this new sweater tank I bought at Ann Taylor, and paired it with this suede jacket that I’m absolutely in love with. Seriously, every girl needs one in her closet (and it comes in 6 colors).
In hindsight, this side tie sweater tank might not have been the best choice for the bump, but I really loved it and wanted to wear it, so I did! I knew I’d only be pregnant a little longer though. So went with my normal size (XS). If you’re still in the height of your pregnancy, I’d definitely order up a size or two depending on how big your bump is.

Later this week I’m sharing my very last pregnancy style post! Looking back, it seems like it flew by. Still, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for my pre-pregnancy clothes and shopping for pieces in my normal sizes again!
During your last few weeks of pregnancy, were you sick of maternity clothes too?
