Quebec City

If you follow me or Rob on Instagram then you already know that last week was full of lots of wonderful surprises.

Since traveling is one of our favorite things to do together, the surprise trip to Quebec the day after the engagement was perfect. Not only did we get to postpone a lot of phone calls, but got to spend our first three days as an engaged couple soaking up the excitement of it all and celebrating together.

Quebec was one amazing city too! It felt a world away even though it was actually just a couple of hours away from Chicago. It was quaint, romantic and had a very European & especially French feel — it is French Canada after all! We ate our fair share of croissants, croque monsieur, French onion soup, drank plenty of local beer and walked countless miles exploring just about every corner of the old town as well as the new town.

As if all that wasn’t enough, our sweet friends surprised us when we arrived with another round of champagne and celebrating! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal and weekend and I’m so thankful for all the wonderful people that made it all happen, most importantly Rob! I love him and I can’t believe that I get to spend the rest of my life with him!
