With Thanksgiving coming next week, I’m getting holiday ready this week! I’ve been pulling out my more festive, holiday pieces lately and getting ready for the upcoming season. It’s been a while since I’ve seen my family, so I think that’s part of the reason I’m so excited.

I paired sequins and plaid for a fun holiday look that’s perfect for a party, but casual enough for everyday wear too. It’s polished, but still comfortable. I love the mix of a rustic flannel shirt and the sparkly, girly sequin tee — it’s the best of both worlds!

I’m heading home towards the end of the week for a long Thanksgiving break and plan on catching up on sleep, a little bit of work and getting a serious jump start on my holiday shopping (more gift ideas are coming this week!). The past few years, I’ve started shopping earlier and it’s made the holidays so much more relaxing. Instead of rushing around with all the crowds, I’m able to kick back with my favorite holiday candle burning while I sip on some spice tea. Sounds nice, right?

  I ordered what I usually order and find that ASOS generally runs true to size. I’ve only had to return one item and that was over 3 years ago but returns are FREE if it doesn’t work out
