I recently did some major rearranging of our apartment so I could move my desk to a more inspiring place. Originally my desk was tucked into a nook, but looked straight at a wall and we have a pretty nice view, so it was a total waste. It also backed up to our dining table and made eating dinner feel like I was constantly at work.
I decided that it was time for a some changes and I wanted my desk to be next to the window so I could enjoy the little sunlight we’ve had lately. When you live in Chicago, you really learn to appreciate those little things.
In the process of moving my desk, I also got a shelving unit from World Market to hold all of the beautiful pottery we got for our wedding. I’ve been practicing my shelf styling skills a lot lately. I’ve styled and then restyled the shelves to show off some of our favorite pieces, gorgeous books and little bit of artwork we’ve collected over the years. I know I’ll probably restyle them again in a few weeks, but for now this is working for us! I’m hoping to have a full home tour for you guys in the near future, but there’s still a few things that need their final touches!
