On our second to last night of our trip, we decided we needed to treat ourselves. For the most part, we’d been eating cheap and dressing really casually. Thursday we were feeling different. we pulled out our best clothes from our grungy suitcases and hit the town! I wore a green maxi dress, simple white blouse and my new white blazer that I’d picked up while we were in Vienna.
We started with happy hour at DiVino, a great little wine bar right across from the basilica in Budapest, which is where we snapped these pictures. We drank plenty of Hungarian Sauvignon Blanc and snacked on a really tasty cheese & meat plate.
After our happy hour, we made our way to a restaurant right on the river, called Spoon. When I say on the river, I l iterally mean on the river. It was on a boat. The views were beautiful and the food was delicious! It was the perfect last night out for us after two weeks!
On our last day, we went to the Hungarian Thermal baths and then spent the rest of the day acting like locals by hanging out in a cafe.
This trip was truly incredible. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to travel with my sisters and to of course have sisters who are so much fun to travel with! I’m looking forward to our next trip, but for now, the pictures will have to suffice!
