Wishful Thinking: Spring Floral Trend // The Fox and She

Mondays are even tougher when you’re coming off of a vacation, but instead of dreading going back to work, I’m daydreaming about sunny California weather and our incredible weekend (more on that tomorrow!). Nothing makes me think of springtime more than a good floral print and I’m really digging this trend that’s happening right now. Not only does it put me in a good mood, but it’s got me wishfully thinking about actual warm weather. We got a nice dose of it this weekend and now it’s all I can think about! I ate healthier, felt better and felt extra relaxed — which could have been the wine’s fault. But needless to say, coming back to a chilly Chicago wasn’t super easy. We’re getting there though!

Before I left last week, I played ‘hooky’ from work for a bit and met my friend Megan for lunch while she’s on spring break (she’s a teacher). It’s not very often that I can meet up with friends for lunch during the week since most of them work in offices downtown or teach, so it was such a treat! It also made me realize that I really need to make more time for things like this and make the effort to plan them. They put me in the best mood and with a few crazy busy weeks ahead of me — packing, moving, traveling — I’m going to need more stuff like this!
