It seems like unique and inspiring businesses are popping up everywhere, but I also think it’s pretty special to see how many people are so dedicated to helping others empower themselves while creating products that people really want.
Recently I was introduced to another one of these amazing companies, VIDA, and wow do they make a gorgeous scarf! It’s a collaboration between designers and makers all across the world. They use technology to take designs from one person and have it produced half way around the world. Designers get to focus on perfecting their work and the factories are giving opportunities to people in less fortunate countries. Each party benefits equally too, which is pretty special. The designers’ reactions to their finished product might be one of my favorite parts (watch the video here).
Like I mentioned, the final products are stunning. The fabric is soft and the patterns are unique and eye-catching. I wore my new VIDA scarf on a snowy day in Colorado over the break. I love how the bright green looks against this navy silk shirt and my light grey cocoon coat. The scarf is perfect for layering in the winter, but light enough to wear during the spring and summer months too!
The scarves range from $40-95 and right now this one is high on my list! I think it’s pretty fitting, don’t you?!
