10 Easy-to-Wear Summer Dresses Under $40

Some days I look at the calendar and think how the heck are we already in July?! This summer has flown by and I still have so many things I want to do before fall hits. Backyard BBQs with friends, more road trips and getting out of the house more for some dates or drinks with my girlfriends.

One of the best things about summer is how easy it is to throw on a dress and a pair of sandals and be totally ready for whatever you have going on. It’s the easiest outfit and so perfect for hot days.

I scooped up this dress from Target when I was loading up on diapers, wipes and the last two canisters of formula we’ll every buy for Jack—he turned one earlier this week! I had seen it online, but didn’t love the color, but in person, it’s not nearly as bright, more of a rust or burnt-orange color that’s a lot earthier than it appears in the picture on Target.com.

I love that you can wear it casually with flats, or dress it up like I did here with a belt and wedges. It’s a very flowy dress and I love that belting it gives you a waist and breaks it up a bit.
