While the majority of my crazy travel schedule is complete, I did learn something about myself while being on the go. I pretty much always get hungry for a snack, and those first few trips, I was not prepared. I’d be halfway through the flight and start craving just a little something sweet. Sure, I could have opted for the airplane’s snacks, but they’re typically loaded with fat, calories and sodium — no thanks.

If there’s one thing you didn’t know about me, it’s that I have a serious sweet tooth. These last few flights, I’ve nailed down my perfect in-flight snack — M&M’S® Crispy. Yup, they’re back for the first time since 2005! It makes sense. M&M’S® Crispy was the number 1 requested item to bring back from polls on Facebook and Twitter! I’m glad they’re back because they are delicious! The sweet rice puff in the center gives these candies and extra crunch and lightness. The best part? A single pack is just 180 calories!

They’re portable, easy to eat, make no mess and fit into my carry-on perfectly. M&M’S® Crispy makes it possible (and even enjoyable) to endure the screaming babies at 10,000 feet. What’s your go to in-flight snack?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Two weekends back I was in Charleston for the SBScon and after the conference ended I spent the afternoon wondering Charleston. Well, sort of. I have to admit, I was actually really really tired after talking to so many people and being on my feet all day.

I did walk down King Street and then popped into Leaf for some snacks and drinks with Josh before we met up with some girls at Leon’s Oyster Shop.

Guys, this place is adorable! Confession: I actually don’t like oysters. It’s a texture thing, so I ended up getting a salad, but it was one of the most flavorful salads I’d ever had! They’re also known for their friend chicken, so if seafood isn’t your thing, you’ll be able to eat something else equally as delicious. The drinks (rose!) and decor were also awesome and everyone else’s food looked amazing — how about that avocado toast? Such gorgeous colors.

I really want to go back to Charleston again when I don’t have as many obligations so I can really see all there is to see. Even though this was a quick trip, it was easy to tell it was an amazing city, so if you’re thinking about going, you should go!

As you probably already know, I was in Punta Mita Mexico last weekend for a bachelorette party. The weekend was pretty incredible. Why? It was definitely not your typical bachelorette party and I loved it. Don’t get me wrong, we had our fair share of fun, but it was a lot more relaxing than other b-parties I’d been on in the past and I would always pick this over a wild, boozy weekend. Well, at least my more mature self thinks so.

I left Chicago to meet the rest of the group in Dallas and then fly from there to Mexico. That morning was rough.

I had to wake up at 4:30am and then our flight was delayed and I barely, I mean barely caught my connecting flight. You should have seen me running like a maniac through the airport with my bag and floppy hat flying behind me. I’m sure I looked like a crazy person, but it was totally worth it. We pushed back from the gate about 2 minutes later, phew!

Our first afternoon was spent sipping drinks by the pool while we waited for one more friend to arrive from California (p.s. check out our ‘California friend’ Cheney’s awesome dog portraits!). The sunshine and heat felt amazing after last week’s weird Chicago weather. I took advantage of the beach and played in the waves — am I too old for that? Whatever, I don’t care. I’m a beach girl at heart and crave salty skin and sand. Something about it just melts away stress and worries.

The rest of our trip was a whole lot of sun, sand and long meals where we chatted for hours. It was such a fun trip because I knew everyone and I was thankful for all the time I had to catch up with friends I rarely get to see.

I came back feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but my flight from Dallas to Chicago was unexpectedly cancelled and really got my whole week messed up. With a long to-do list before my trip to London I’ve been really overwhelmed this week, but I’m looking forward to a lazy night at home with some vino and an early bedtime.

Even though my week wasn’t totally what I hoped it would be productivty-wise, I’m so thankful for a weekend away and what it does for my soul! Do you feel the same when you get back from vacation?

I didn’t take as many pictures as I’d hoped — I was worried about getting sand in my camera, but I took a bunch on Instagram, including the most vibrant sunset I’ve ever seen and my new favorite swimsuit and coverup!

Yesterday I gave you a super quick peek at my outfit from one night of our trip, but today I wanted to share more of what we did during our weekend in Seattle. So, let’s dive in — and be prepared, there are a lot of photos, but I couldn’t help it, everything was beautiful! So, let’s go!

Friday was by far my favorite day. We started the day by heading to Pike’s Place Market. I absolutely love walking through markets, so I guess it makes sense that this was one of the highlights of the trip. We walked past the Gum Wall on the way there, which was really pretty gross, but at least I can check it off my list. We strolled through the market for quite some time admiring the gorgeous flowers, beautiful produce and of course, the freshly caught seafood. It made me desperately wish for a kitchen so we could have shopped and cooked.

That afternoon we took the ferry across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island. Once the ferry starts pulling away from Seattle, you get a really great view of the city. Once we got to Bainbridge, we walked into downtown and found a spot to eat lunch and enjoy a glass of wine. We ate at a cute spot called Cafe Nola and the food was awesome! We had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was worth it! While we waited we poked around in a few shops.

After lunch we stopped into Alehouse on Winslow for a beer while we waited for the next ferry to take us back. Daisy, the bull dog, was about the funniest shop dog I’ve ever seen. Every five minutes or so, she’d walk around the whole place stopping at each table as if she was checking in on everyone to make sure they were okay, so sweet! For dinner that night we ate at the Italian place I mentioned yesterday called Tulio.

On Saturday my dad was throwing a groomsmen lunch for my cousin, so my mom and sister and I went to brunch at Boka before heading towards the Space Needle to check out that area. We toured the Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibit which was absolutely breathtaking. Even if you’re not into art, the colors in here are simply stunning! We decided against going into the Space Needle because the line was way too long, but it was cool to see it up close from underneath.

We hopped over to Fremont Brewing to meet up with my dad before heading home to clean up for that night’s rehearsal dinner. We sat outside enjoyed a few great beers and really just soaked up the amazing weather and time we got to spend with each other.

Sunday was a bit of a short day because the wedding started at 4. We went to Serious Pie for a quick lunch. I’m a huge pizza fan (maybe even a pizza snob?) and this place was incredible. They had unique combinations, homemade charcuterie and super thin crust — all good things. They also had a really amazing kale salad that I’m dying to try to emulate. After lunch we walked back towards Pike’s Place Market before heading back home to relax before the wedding. I’ll admit I was pretty exhausted at this point!

The wedding was held at Sodo Park, a restored old cannery not far from the Seahawks Stadium. The whole space was decorated so beautifully and the wedding and ceremony couldn’t have been more special. I’m thrilled for my cousin and his new bride and can’t wait to get to know her more over the years.

I was so thankful that we were able to spend so much time exploring Seattle while we were there for the wedding and I can’t wait to come again with Rob someday! If you’re wondering why he wasn’t there, he’s in Tel Aviv with his guy friends. Hopefully you enjoyed the little photo diary, and maybe got inspired to book a trip to the Emerald City soon!

Last weekend I was in Breckenridge, CO for my college bestie (Caroline)’s bachelorette party! Blacklane Limos offered me a complimentary ride to the airport in one of their black cars which made the whole day that much simpler. I loved that I didn’t have to rush out to the corner to hail a cab and the ride was much nicer than any taxi I’ve ever taken. I flew into Denver and met Caroline and her sisters for the drive to Breckenridge.

Even though Rob and I have been to Denver (his hometown) recently, it’d been a while since I’d been in the mountains and it was such a treat! It’s absolutely beautiful up there and the crisp, clean air mixed with the smell of fresh pine trees is a scent I wish I could bottle and take with me.

The weekend was full of tasty dinners, skiing and snowboarding, dancing, relaxing, hot-tubbing, and plenty of other bachelorette festivities. My only wish was that we were able to stay longer! I would have loved one day of walking through the snowy woods and relaxing by the fireplace.
