This past weekend we celebrated St. Patty’s Day here in Chicago, and if you’ve ever been in the city on this holiday, you’ll know that it’s something Chicagoans take very seriously. The river gets dyed a strangely eery bright green and everyone is out on the streets by 10am with a pint in hand. All of that makes me think I maybe should have held off on that juice cleanse until this week?
What St. Patty’s Day also means is that it’s half way through March and that we should be seeing warmer days ahead. And since we haven’t had many, I find excuses, like 50 degree days to wear tank tops. How could I not with this one from 1.State though? I love the length, and that it’s actually longer in the back, and the lacey/crocheted inset in the middle. It takes a basic white tank to the next level. It’ll also provide a nice breeze on hot summer days too 😉 I threw on this new jacket for a little extra warmth, but also mostly because I’m obsessed with it. I feel like it looks more expensive than it is, just me? To make me feel like it was even warmer than 50 degrees, I also threw on the most summery necklace I own from Sea Elise!
Though this weekend was another cold one, I’m really really looking forward to pushing on towards April, warmer weather and our trip to wine country! I also noticed that I have a few free weekends at the end of this month and I couldn’t be happier about it. How was your weekend? And I hope your Monday (and mine!) are better after last week!
