How to Get More Engagement on Instagram
Has you may have noticed, Instagram is blowing up in the blogging world. It’s easily my favorite platform and is my fastest growing platform as well. I’m a visual person and really appreciate the time and effort people put into creating a beautiful, inspiring and well-curated feed — those things don’t happen on accident!
It’s also a great way to find new audiences for your blog and connect with your readers on a different level. If you’re struggling to engage your readers here are a few tips to help you out.
1. Iconosquare
If you haven’t yet logged into Iconosquare, it’s time you check it out. This app has invaluable information about your Instagram account and your followers. If you go under ‘Analytics’ and then ‘Optimization’ you can see your posting habits and when your readers are most engaged. Since tailoring my Instagram posting habits to when my readers are most active, I’ve seen a huge growth in likes and comments.
You can also see which types of images are getting the most love and change up your strategy to fit in more images like those.
2. Ask Questions
Engaging your readers by asking a question or they’re opinion and start conversation and lead to far more engagement than a regular post.
3. Comment and Like
This one is a no-brainer, but it’s something I forget to do a lot. Commenting on other people’s accounts and images can start the conversation and lead to more people seeing your account and following you.
4. Use Hashtags
Using hashtags strategically can definitely get more eyes on your account and engage people interested in similar topics.
