How to Take Time for Yourself

Every year I plan on getting a jump start on the holidays so that I have more time to just relax, but every year there’s always a ton of shopping to be done and parties to attend. While I love all that, sometimes I just want to chill out at home alone or with my little family.
I wrote a post a while back ago on how to take time for you, but I fully admit that I struggle with doing this for myself. It seems like there’s always something that can be done! Maybe it’s harder for me because my desk sits directly behind the couch…do I need an office, or what?! With the holidays in full swing and my to-do list at a manageable spot, I’m really making an effort to shut off my computer at 6:00pm and giving myself some time to just relax and unwind.
Sitting and flipping through a magazine or a catalog is something I used to love doing, but somewhere along the way, I stopped. I’m not sure why, because it’s a great way to get inspired and to get my brain off work and other distractions.
The holidays are one of my favorite times of the year, but I think we can all agree that they get so busy! It’s important to take little moments like this for yourself, and relax! How do you relax during this busy and stressful time?
