Last week was a blur. After coming back from France, I hit the ground running — Jess and I hosted four webinars and a live WordPress workshop and I didn’t really slow down until late Saturday night.

Now that the craziness is over, I’m falling back into a normal routine and I can’t tell you how amazing it feels! On Sunday, we had brunch at Soho House with my aunt who was in town for work. The weather was perfect and we got to sit on the upstairs patio and enjoy a long meal over coffee and mimosas. If you come for brunch, make sure to get the wood-oven pancake — I’m dying to know the recipe, it was delicious!

Monday was spent getting caught up, but Tuesday I got out of the house – finally! I met Jess for lunch and a work day over in West Loop. It was actually a bit chilly, so I wore jeans, a soft tank and a light jacket. On it’s own, this outfit was fine, but it needed something to make it more interesting.

What to do?!

Add eye-catching accessories.

I added some new pieces that I recently got from Sole Society to make this outfit really pop, and if you ask me, I think they make all the difference!

This scarf (also love this one!) was the perfect way to add color and pattern to my outfit. Since it was a bit cool, it was just the extra layer I needed. I love the detail of these lace up sandals (two more colors here). The not-to-high chunky heel makes them comfortable enough to wear all day. Lastly I added this perforated bucket bag. It was a life saver and it also comes in a tote version which I love! On work days, I always have a ton of stuff — camera, lipstick, phone, chargers, sunglasses, wallet – and this bag was big enough to hold it all!

Make sure to pop over to Sole Society and see more of their new collection. I’ve got my eye on these bright heels, this vegan leather travel satchel which would be perfect for quick weekend getaways, and these adorable sunglasses. The best part? Every item from Sole Society that I’ve linked to here is under $100, and some of them are actually under $50! If that wasn’t exciting enough, you also get free shipping on orders over $50 — always a perk in my book.

Even though Jess and I didn’t meet until nearly 11, I still had a crazy productive day. It happens every time I temporarily move my office to a different location — anyone else? I think it’s about time that I make this a weekly priority!

Where do you feel most productive? What accessories do you grab to dress up a simple look?
