Last Thursday, we made finally made it to a movie in the park! I only went to one last summer and loved it, so I really don’t know why it’s taken me all the way until August to do it, but either way, we went!
The Amazing Spiderman was showing in Wrightwood Park, so I packed up a serious picnic and met Rob in the park. We got lucky with the weather too. It was cool and actually got pretty chilly as the sun went down. Our picnic started with a large wedge of brie with fig jam and then moved onto a tasty arugula and caprese salad. Lastly we had grilled chicken sandwiches and washed it all down with my favorite $3.99 Cabernet Sauvignon from Trader Joe’s. For dessert we snacked on gummy bears and chocolate covered almonds.
The movie itself was really good! It was the new Spiderman with Emma Stone and the guy from the Social Network movie. It was such a fun night and a nice change up from our typical dinner during the week at home! If there are any more good ones on the schedule, I might be making one more before summer’s end!
