Happy Sunday! We’re flew back to Chicago yesterday afternoon and it’s been so nice to have a whole day at home to get organized again, unpack, do laundry—you know, all the other post-trip stuff that needs to get taken care of. I love having a full day at home before the week starts. What about you?
Okay, so if you’re like me, I was too busy hanging out with my family that I rarely see and didn’t really do all that shopping on Friday or Saturday. But, the good news? The sales and deals are still going strong! If you want the rest of my Cyber Week sale picks, read this post!
Skincare and makeup are two things that almost never go on sale, but we use them everyday. Which is why I love stocking up on them when they’re discounted! I know they’ll get used eventually, so why not grab them at a better price?!
I realized it’s been a while since I shared my current skincare and makeup routines, so along with 4 of the best clean beauty sales to shop before the sweet deals are gone!
Best Clean Beauty Sales
I mentioned Beautycounter’s Black Friday sale in a post earlier this week, but it was mixed in with a bunch of other stuff, and it’s worth mentioning a LOT more! You’ll get 15% off your entire purchase (there’s only a few exclusions on sets that are already discounted) and free shipping through tonight—don’t miss out! I linked to all the products I use on a regular basis in my routine below! I’m using this as an opportunity to stock up on the higher priced items, as well as try a few new ones that I’ve had my eye on (like this cream highlighter).
There’s no discount code needed either, so you won’t accidentally check out without getting your discount!
Admittedly, Sephora’s Cyber specials aren’t totally amazing, but they’re worth mentioning! I love Sephora because I can find a bunch of different clean brands like Drunk Elephant, Tata Harper, and Herbivore all in one place. If you spend $45 (use code GOBIG), you get a free gift bag, and if you spend $90 (use code GOBIGGER), you get to pick one of 3 bags full of trial-sized products, which is pretty nice considering many of us travel for the holidays!
Credo’s Cyber Week deal is a similar gift with purchase! Through Sunday (today), you’ll get a free gift that’s valued at $100 with any orders of $125 or more—no discount code needed! There’s also free shipping on orders over $50! Free shipping always makes me happy!
Nordstrom is another place I love to shop for beauty stuff, and their Black Friday specials are pretty awesome! There’s some great sets and beauty tools that don’t get discounted very often and are amazing! It also appears that you’ll get a gift with purchase too! The GloPro is 25% off and the T3 hair dryer (I love my T3 flat iron, also marked down 15%!) is marked down to $134!
One Last Thing
Okay, so technically this isn’t a sale or skincare product, but this beautiful leather makeup bag—it actually comes with two bags, one small and one large—is one of my favorite things ever! It makes for a great gift and I can’t tell you much I use it! Every day to be exact and it still looks brand new.
It’s from Cuyana, comes in a bunch of colors (I just got the olive color too) and you can have it monogrammed. Typically I’m not a big monogram fan, but it’s a really simple, clean and modern monogram and I love it! They have a cool feature on their site that allows you to send a hint too, so it’s an easy way to drop someone a little nudge.
My Current Skincare & Makeup Routine
I’m excited to share my updated routine because I think I may have finally nailed it! My skin has been looking so clean, clear and smoother so I’m excited to give you all the details today!
I start by cleansing my face with this Juice cleanser—I swear by this stuff! If you have breakout-prone or congested skin, you need this. I’ve been using it religiously for the past two months (and on and off before that) and it works. I have less blackheads, less breakouts and it doesn’t over dry my skin.
I’ve been using this balancing mist as a toner for several years. Again, it’s great if your skin leans on the side of oily or breakout prone. The charcoal in it helps to absorb excess oil and balance your skin. What I love about it is that the mist is super fine, which means it dries incredibly fast and makes my routine quick.
The last step is moisturizing! I’ve tried a bunch of moisturizers over the years and a lot feel heavy on my skin, which I hate. I’ve been using Countermatch for hmmm, a year or so, and I love it. You don’t have to use much and it adjusts to your skin’s hydration needs. My last quick step is some eye cream—this Rejuventating eye cream still remains my favorite. The caffeine in it helps make my eyes look more awake too!
When I learned how much sun damage we get from everyday life, I started wearing SPF on my face everyday. My favorite is Supergoop’s Unseen sunscreen. It’s clear, is super lightweight, non-greasy and acts as a primer too!
I wrote a whole post on clean foundation and my favorite is still this Hydrating Foundation. It goes on smooth and doesn’t dry too fast that you can’t actually spread it around (a problem I found with other clean foundations). The coverage is medium, but I don’t like wearing heavy coverage. That being said, I find that it’s buildable, so you can make it heavier if you want.
I don’t spend much time doing my eyes, but I always put on eye liner, one color from this palette (or more if we’re going out), and mascara. I really love this eyeliner because it goes on really smoothly and has one end for getting that smokey, smudged look, which I only use for nights out.
Also, I LOVE this palette! It has the best neutrals in mattes and shimmers, so there’s something for every occasion.
Blush, Bronzer & Highlighter
I never ever leave the house without blush—I feel like I look asleep without it, ha! I wear this blush in nectar. Recently I found some highlighter in my makeup bag and I’ve been putting it on the top of my cheekbones just under my eyes and I’m loving it. It makes my eyes look brighter and bigger! The one in my makeup bag is VERY old, so I just added this one to my cart in the pearl color (I also have the bronzing stick too).
I don’t always wear bronzer, but when I do, I use this one and brush it around my hairline and use this stick for contouring under my cheeks (though, it’s questionable whether I’m doing it right or not!)
Lastly is lips! My go-to lipstick for everyday wear are these Lip Sheers in Lily or Terra and for dates and days where I want something a bit more bold, my favorites are the Color Intense in 9 to 5 and Girl’s Night. I got this cute little set that has a bunch of mini lipsticks so I can try new colors, which reminds me I need to try them all!
Is it crazy that I used to skip this step and just wash my face? I thought that was enough, but then I’d dry my face and there would still be makeup on my towel. So, now I always start by taking off my eye makeup with this eye makeup remover, and then my face makeup with this cleansing balm.
The cleansing balm is one of my favorite products ever! It gently removes all my makeup and leaves my skin so soft! You only need a little bit per use, so it lasts a long time!
Cleanse and Tone
Probably the most important and beneficial part of my skincare routine is my nighttime treatment. I’ve been using this Resurfacing Peel every other night for the past few months and it’s made a huge difference in the texture and tone of my skin. Every morning after I’ve used it, my skin glows! If you’re looking for a powerful and clean product—make it this one!
Last step, eye cream again! Since using this eye cream regularly, the fine lines around my eyes have softened and overall it just keeps my eyes hydrated and awake!
Phew, that was a long one, but I wanted to give you as much detail as possible while a bunch of my favorites are 15% off! The Black Friday deal ends tonight, so make sure to place your order before the end of the day! And, if you have any questions, feel free to leave them below or DM me on Instagram for the quickest response!
Hope you have a happy Sunday!
