June 11, 2018 Everyday Weekend in Atlanta Original Trefoils Tank, more colors here | Switchback Shorts, lots of colors here | Nike Free Running Shoes This past weekend we were in Atlanta visiting my sister, Katherine, and her husband, Powell. They bought a house last year and I was too pregnant to come see it, so I was super excited to finally check it out and of course spend a weekend with them! My sisters and I don’t live in the same cities, so when we plan to see each other, it’s a big deal. I’m talking multiple weeks of planning our itinerary, tons of excitement, and a bunch of text and phone calls during the weeks leading up to our trip. The weekend arrives, and before we know it, it’s time to go home and we’re never ever ready to say goodbye. This past weekend was no different. We got in a bit later than anticipated (thanks to a 3 hour delay on the tarmac, ugh!), but we finally arrived an then made the most of our two days in Atlanta. Friday morning we went for a walk through their gorgeous neighborhood. One thing I loved about Atlanta is that you’d turn down what looked like a neighborhood street and suddenly feel like you were on a windy twisted road in the forest. The trees were huge and overgrown with ivy and so beautiful! I love Chicago, but I have to admit that it was such a nice break from city life. Workout Gear Turn on your JavaScript to view content That morning, I wore these new shorts and tank that I ordered from Nordstrom the week before we came. Nordstrom is one of my go-to spots for workout gear (and just about everything else). I love Zella, Adidas and Nike and they have them all! I wasn’t sure on the size of the shorts, but ordered the XS and S and took advantage of Nordstrom’s awesome return policy! They both fit, but I ended up keeping the XS because I liked how they fit just a little better than the small. I also LOVE this tank! The color is super cute and the arms are loose which makes it great for sweaty workouts and walks in the hot Georgia humidity! That night we went wine tasting and to dinner at Hopstix. Owen was such a trooper and ended up staying up an hour past his bedtime without having a total meltdown. The next day we went to the pool for the afternoon and it was so much fun! We jumped off the high dive, swam in the baby pool with Owen, went down the water slide and basked in the sun. I felt like I was a kid again—simple no cares in the world! We spent the rest of our evening sitting on the patio, cooking dinner at home and playing UNO. Sadly, I learned I’m not very good, haha! I only won once after playing for at least two hours! By the end of the weekend, I was worn out, but my heart was so full! Owen and Barley, my sister’s golden retriever, had become best friends too. He loved when she gave him kisses and would laugh and then look completely surprised, haha! The weekend ended too fast, per usual—now it’s time to plan the next weekend! Thanks to Nordstrom, a brand I love and trust, for sponsoring this post! Partnerships like this make The Fox & She possible!
