Weekend Steals, 12/16

This week was a cold one and has me wanting to plan a warm weather getaway for sometime in late January or February. It’s probably not good that I’m already looking forward to spring—winter hasn’t even really started! Thankfully, we’re heading to Texas for Christmas and it’s been so warm there, so I’m crossing my fingers for sunshine!

Also, can you believe that Christmas is just 9 days away? If I’m being honest, I have done almost zero holiday shopping since Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Like I mentioned earlier this week, we drew names for gifts this year so I don’t have to do much, but I still haven’t shopped for Rob! I’m constantly shopping for cute things for Owen, so I’m trying to refrain from overdoing it this year. It’s not like he’ll really know what’s going on!

I also hit a turning point this week. Yes, I’m still exhausted, but I decided it was time to get back to eating better. It’s tough to want to grocery shop and cook when you’re tired. Still I made a few healthy meals and felt so good afterward! It was just the reminder I needed to take better care of myself during these long days. I made these quinoa and kale breakfast bowls for us yesterday and they were so good!
