Can you guys believe Thanksgiving is so close?! I actually feel like it should be closer—is it later this year or is it just me? I’m so excited this year because we finally get to meet our nephew! My sister-in-law had her baby back in August and we haven’t been out to see him yet.
I know Owen is going to love being a big cousin! He always yells “baby!” when we see one walking down the street.
Every year we swap holidays with both of our families. I know splitting holidays can be a tricky thing, but we got lucky that ours hasn’t been an issue. Our siblings just got on the same schedule we’re on, so now when we’re going to one house, everyone is there! It’s really so special, especially since we all live so far away from each other.
Both of our families have relatively casual Thanksgiving and the attire is always ‘casual cute’, which for me typically means a sweater, jeans and boots or booties.
Easy, classic and comfortable—my kinda Thanksgiving!
I’ve worn this sweater so many times already this year—and it’s been featured in so many posts like this one. It’s such a soft, cozy basic that you’ll get so much use out of all season.
This cocoon coat is also one of my favorite winter buys. I actually bought this coat 5-6 years ago, wore it out and then repurchased it again this year—it’s THAT good. I’m wearing a size 2 and it fits perfectly! I also love the camel color too.
Lastly, to make this outfit just a bit more cool, I added these tortoise shell hoops. I got my ears double pierced a little over a month ago and have loved pairing new earrings together! Hoops are clearly my favorite, haha!
What are your Thanksgiving plans this year?!
