Last weekend my mom was in town and on Sunday morning, we sat on the back patio drinking coffee (and tea for her), bundled up and very much enjoying the crisp fall-ish weather. Ahh, seriously, that’s what dreams are made of!
A few hours later, it was 90 degrees, but those few hours in the morning have been giving me all of the fall vibes and making me excited for the transition into a new season.
Don’t get me wrong, summer has been a dream! Especially since last year’s felt like it was stolen from us. We did lots of swimming, road trips, went out to eat at restaurants, saw friends, went to the park and spent time with family in the mountains. It all has felt like such a gift!!! A big part of me is not ready to let go of summer and it’s easy-going feel, but fall is truly my favorite season of all, so I always look forward to it, even when summer has been so great.

I love how comfy and effortless this piece looks. It will make for such a great layering piece and turn a simple jeans and white tee outfit into something more special.
The colors in this dress are what really drew me towards it. I love that you can wear it now while it’s still warm, then toss on a denim jacket or leather jacket and booties to make it perfect for fall.
I love the smocked bodice trend happening, it’s so flattering in my opinion and love that it’s making its way into fall pieces too. This dress reminds me of a bit of this one I bought from Zara when we were in Croatia a few years ago and I still love it so much. You just can’t go wrong with black and white!
Another wardrobe essential! I live in cardigans when it’s cold, so it’s nice to break it up a bit and add some texture with a nice cable knit. You can always wear a cardigan on it’s own too!
I love a good sweater tank in the fall! The ruffle detail on here is so cute. I’d wear this with jeans or a flowy maxi skirt!
