With fall just around the corner, I’ve been getting the itch to do some house projects that I’ve been neglecting for a while. There’s just something about knowing that fall is coming that makes me want to refresh the house and get things more settled.

Target Home Decor I’m Loving

I recently did some browsing at Target and, as usual, I found so many cute items that would make such a statement to any space. Just adding a few updates can make a room feel totally fresh and new. Best of all, because it’s Target, it’s all very affordable!

I am LOVING this glass cabinet so much, as well as this bowl and striped throw. I also have my eye on this headboard for our guest room in the basement, which currently has no bed frame and looks a little unfinished.

As for other projects I’m hoping to tackle this fall! I skim-coated our dining room earlier this spring, but haven’t actually sanded or primed it. What I really want to do after I finish sanding it, is adding picture frame molding. I found this tutorial from Casey’s blog and I have most of the tools and some more confidence after my beadboard project, so I think I’m going to do it! The toughest part and the part that I’m dreading is all the math that will be required to get this right. Thankfully, Rob is good at that, so I’ll put him to work!

I also started putting board and batten in Owen’s room, but still need to finish caulking and filling the nail holes before I hire painters. So, lots of projects I’m excited about and can’t wait to get started!

Are there any updates you’re hoping to make soon?

BTW, idea for our kitchen renovation, and how to paint a room in a day.
