Point Sur Rufle Top | Farrah Jeans | Golden Goose Sneakers
One piece I get asked about all the time are my Golden Goose sneakers, and most people ask—are they really worth it?
It’s a good question, because they’re not cheap, and if they’re not worth it, why would you want to waste your money?! I’d been eyeing them for…hmm, years maybe? Ever since Owen was born, I spend most of my days in sneakers, so I wanted a really cool pair to wear each week, and I finally took the plunge because I’d heard so many positive reviews of them.
So, are they worth it? In my opinion, YES. I’ll go into more details in just a second, but if you’re like me and wear sneakers on the regular, I don’t think you’ll regret it. Plus, the holidays are coming up—maybe add them to your wishlist?!
I got mine at FarFetch and Shopbop, but Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and also carry them as well.
They’re Distressed
My grandpa would not approve of pre-distressed sneakers, but I love this. It takes the pressure of keeping them clean, especially if you buy white ones. It also makes each pair totally unique.
Built in Wedge Heel
This is a really cool feature, and something you can’t see from the outside, but sneakily makes your feet look smaller and legs look longer. I have size 8.5-9 feet and sometimes my feet look really big in flats. I love that Golden Goose doesn’t make them look as big, ha!
They’re Comfortable
Mine did take about a week to fully break-in, but they were still pretty comfortable from the get-go. Now, they’re super comfy! I can wear them around all day long, walk the dog, drop Owen at school and they feel great the whole time.
They’re Classic
Well, maybe not all of them, but the basic styles, like this simple pair, are so classic. I mean, you can’t go wrong with a simple pair of white sneakers, right?!
If you’re buying your first pair, or just one, I would highly recommend you make it one of the simpler styles. To be honest, I’m typically not crazy about all the wild ones, but I fell in love with this pair and thought they were so great for fall.
All the colors (minus the pop of blue) are still really neutral and I’ve found that they match with so many things! You’ll be seeing more of them over the next few months!
So, tell me, do you have a pair? Would you buy a pair?!
