beautycounter cleansing balm

Sometime before I got pregnant and I was just launching into my whole health journey, I discovered Beautycounter. Before then, I was completely clueless that safe skincare even existed and honestly thought all products were held to the same standard. I quickly learned how wrong I was and soon after decided to join Beautycounter. I’d fallen in love with a few of their products and their goal of getting safer products into the hands of everyone really resonated with me.

I was sold at first with their Charcoal Balancing Mist and Brightening Mask, both which are still two of my favorite products. Since then, I’ve tried countless other skincare and beauty products of theirs and have discovered on a few more favorites that I continue to buy over and over again.

Best Beautycounter Products

Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer

I use this Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer in lieu of foundation and love it! It goes on smoothly, hydrates my skin and also has SPF 20 in it. The coverage is semi-sheer, so if you’re looking for something more coverage, this might not be for you! I just got their foundation though and I actually love it, so who knows, I might be a convert soon.

Cleansing Balm

I use this cleansing balm every night to remove my makeup. It smells amazing and works incredibly well. Instead of stripping my skin of all it’s natural oils like some makeup removers do, it gently removes makeup and grime, but leaves my skin feeling super soft! Yes, it’s a little bit pricey, but a little goes a long way and the jar I bought in June is still going strong!

Blush in Tawny/Whisper

I mentioned my love for this blush in this post on how to do your makeup like a Parisian and I still swear by it. Instead of heavy pink tones, it’s almost more bronzey which gives your skin a nice, natural sun-kissed look! Blush is one of those things that I can’t leave the house without and this one is by far the best I’ve ever owned.

Lip Sheer

I was never a big lipstick fan until I tried these! They don’t dry out my lips like other lipsticks did and the colors are just slightly sheer, which I also love. I have both the scarlet and currant and love them both. Currant is particularly pretty for fall and winter!

Body Oil

Not only does this Citrus Rosemary Body Oil smell amazing, but it has kept my skin looking so hydrated and healthy. I rub a few drops all over my body while I’m still slightly damp in the shower and then lightly towel off. I’ll also add a few drops to my body lotion when I need extra hydration too.

Countermatch

This moisturizer is one of their newest products and essentially gives your skin what it needs when it needs it. I have no idea how it works, but only know that it does work! Rob and I have very different skin types and it works great for both of us. It’s super lightweight and perfect for wearing during the day.

Rejuvenating Eye Cream

Lastly, but not least, this eye cream is probably my favorite of the favorites! I’ve tried dozens of eye creams over the years and this one is the very best one I’ve used. I apply it morning and night to the area all around my eyes. If you’re thinking of upgrading your beauty routine with just one product, I highly suggest you make it this one.

It was hard to just limit it to seven favorites, because I could have added at least seven more, but these are the ones I use every single day and continue to buy over and over again.

Someone recently asked me if there were any products I didn’t love, and I only have one and really it’s not so much the product, just me. I tried the peppermint lip balm a few months ago and had an allergic reaction to it, which in hindsight wasn’t all that surprising. I’ve had bad reactions to a lot of lip balms over the years and I think I’m just now making the connection between my lips and peppermint oil. They make my lips go numb and get super dry so I avoid lip balms with peppermint oil in them. Thankfully, other scents don’t have the same effect for me, which is good to know! And just so you know, this has happened with EVERY lip balm that I’ve used that has peppermint essential oil in it, not just Beautycounter’s.

What Beautycounter products are your favorites? Any you’re dying to try?

BTW, 8 toxic skincare ingredients to avoid, and are you applying your skincare in the right order?
