Chicago in White

Last weekend, Rob and I had the pleasure of attending the Chicago in White dinner, sponsored by Chloe Wine Collection. I’d heard of these all white dinner parties, but had yet to experience one myself! The event was held in Midway Plaisance Park, just south of the stunning University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park.

We got so lucky with the weather too! It was gorgeous, sunny and not too hot or too cool. It was quite the scene to walk up to. There were many super long tables, decked out in white table clothes and white chairs. It was such a crisp and beautiful contrast from the green of the park.

All the guests were decked in their very best white outfits too! It seriously looked like an all white outdoor wedding! I wore this white dress that I’d worn earlier this year—I love the fringe and pom poms. Rob didn’t have any white pants, so we had to do some last minute shopping for him.

We spent the night sipping wines from the Chloe Wine Collection (my favorite was the prosecco) and catching with old friends and meeting new ones.

All the white got me thinking about the two family weddings we have coming up! There were several white frocks I spotted that would make for perfect rehearsal dinner dresses, including the one I’m wearing—it’s on sale for $50! I’m wearing a small, FYI.
